Temira Poindexter, Maya Mayberry and Katelyn Levings all scored in double figures but it wasn't enough as the Tulsa women's basketball team dropped a 79-70 decision to Arkansas on Monday night at Bud Walton Arena in Fayetteville, Ark. The Golden Hurricane fell to 2-1 on the season, while the Razorbacks moved to 3-0 overall.
"I was super proud of our team for the toughness they showed today," Head Coach Angie Nelp said. "This team's heart is so big and it is fun to be their coach. There is no quit in us and no giving up. We fought the entire game. We didn't have the start we wanted in the first quarter, but I'm proud of how the team fought and stayed together."
Tulsa will return to action on Sunday, November 20 against crosstown rival Oral Roberts beginning at 1:00 pm at the Donald W. Reynolds Center.
