
Tulsa Men’s Soccer Team Hosts Georgetown in NCAA Second Round on Sunday

Tulsa's 15th-seeded men's soccer team will host 14th-ranked Georgetown in the NCAA Men's Soccer Championship Second Round on Sunday, November 20 beginning at 6:00 pm at the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium.
Tickets are $8 general admission, $3 for youth (3-12 years of age) and $5 for groups of 15+. Tickets can be purchased at the north ticket gate, online at TulsaHurricane.com/tickets or by calling the TU Athletic Ticket Office at 918.631.4688.
Fans unable to attend the match in person can watch it live on ESPN+. TU fans can subscribe to ESPN+ to watch select Golden Hurricane basketball, soccer, softball and volleyball games. This is Tulsa's 13th appearance in the tournament. TU has a 10-11-2 mark in the NCAA tournament, making quarterfinal appearance in 2004 and 2009.
Tulsa has a 9-4-2 mark on the season, including a 2-0 win over #10 Charlotte, a 3-0 win over #11 Missouri State and a 1-1 tie with #3 Kentucky. Alex Meinhard has team-bests of nine goals, five assists and 23 points on the season, while Malik Henry-Scott adds six goals and 10 others have at least one score. Alex Lopez has logged 1,100 minutes in goal, picked up 38 saves and allowed 14 goals for a 1.15 GAA, while Cedrik Stern has played 270 minutes between the posts, recorded six saves and two clean sheets.
Georgetown has a 12-5-3 overall mark on the season, including an 8-1-1 mark in the BIG EAST, and are coming off a 2-0 win over Navy in the NCAA First Round. Jack Panayotou and Jacob Murrell both have a team-best seven goals, while Marlon Tabora has five scores, and eight others have at least one goal. Tabora has a team-best seven assists and Kyle Linhares has six. Ryan Schewe, Ethan Koehler and Luca Ulrich have combined for 70 saves for a 0.753 saves percentage and allowed 23 goals for a 1.14 GAA. Schewe has recorded all seven clean sheets for the Hoyas on the season.
Tulsa has only faced Georgetown once, capturing a 1-0 win during the 2007 season.
