Luke Jeffus scored the game-winning goal to give 15^th-seeded Tulsa a 1-0 win over 14^th-ranked Georgetown in the NCAA Second Round on Sunday evening at the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium. The Golden Hurricane moved to 10-4-2 on the season, while the Hoyas concluded the year with a 12-6-3 overall mark.

"It was good to get a win under our belt," Head Coach Tom McIntosh said. "I thought Luke [Jeffus] did an excellent job with the ball and had a tremendous finish. Georgetown is a very good team and they made it difficult for us. It was back and forth. They had chances, we had a few, and we are just fortunate that we got the win. Our strikers played well, we got into some good spots, but we couldn't finish a couple moments. We were close to breaking it open, but it took a long time, but that is what these games are about. On the other side, the guys defended very well and that is what you have to do this time of year."

Tulsa will take on Creighton who defeated second-seeded Washington, 3-1, in the NCAA Third Round at the Hurricane Stadium. Game information will be released at a later date.

How it Happened
The two teams battled for nearly 93 minutes before Luke Jeffus scored his first goal of the season off a forward pass from Malik Henry-Scott. Jeffus shot from 12 yards out from the right to left side.
