Tulsa’s No. 6 Men’s Soccer Team Faces No. 16 SMU in Final Regular Season Contest Tonight

Tulsa's sixth-ranked men's soccer team will take on 16th-ranked SMU in the final regular season contest on Wednesday, November 2 beginning at 7:00 pm at the Washburne Soccer and Track Stadium in Dallas, Texas.
TU has a 9-2-2 mark on the season and is currently ranked sixth by Top Drawer Soccer, ninth by College Soccer News and 13th by United Soccer Coaches. The Golden Hurricane ranks first in penalty kicks (1.00), eighth in shutout percentage (0.538), 12th in win-lost-tied percentage (0.769), 19th in team goals-against average (0.846), 24th in scoring offense (2.23), 24th in goal differential (18), 28th in saves percentage (0.784), 36th in total assists (29), 39th in total points (87) and 45th in total goals (29) among the nation's best.
Malik Henry-Scott and Alex Meinhard both have a team-best six goals on the season, while 10 others have at least one goal. Meinhard also has a team-leading five assists, while Luke Jeffus has four and 11 others have at least one assist. Alex Lopez has logged 900 minutes in goal, picked up 31 saves and allowed nine goals for a 0.90 GAA, while Cedrik Stern has played 270 minutes between the posts, recorded six saves and two clean sheets.
SMU has a 9-4-1 overall mark on the season, including a 5-3 record in the league, and are ranked 16th in the current United Soccer Coaches poll. Knut Ahlander has tallied a team-best 10 goals, while Jose Ortiz has seven scores and Fredrik Skilberg has six goals. Alexander Petraeus has a team-best eight assists and Nikola Djordjevic has seven. Marcelo Guerra, Cole Johnson and Bram Kaarsgaren have combined for 1,260 minutes in goal, picked up 45 saves for a 0.714 saves percentage and allowed 18 goals for a 1.29 goals-against average.
SMU has a 32-14-5 lead in the all-time series over the Golden Hurricane, but it was Tulsa that had a 2-0-1 advantage last season
