VIERA, Florida –– The Tulsa women's golf team continues the spring season at the Columbia Classic this week, Sunday-Monday, Feb. 14-15. The 54-hole two-day event will take place at the par-72, 6,383yard Duran Golf Club.
Tulsa is coming off a season-best second-place finish at the spring opening Texas State Invitational last week. The Hurricane scored rounds of 295-298-298 for an 891 total score. Lilly Thomas had a career-best second-place performance with a 2-under par 214 score. The Hurricane had three additional golfers finish in the top-20 with Lorena Tseng, Haley Greb and Lovisa Gunnar all scoring 227 to place 18th overall.
The Tulsa team this week will feature the junior Thomas, seniors Tseng and Greb and freshmen Gunnar and Sophie Johnson.
The 15-team field features the nation's second-ranked Oklahoma State Cowgirls, host Columbia as well as Albany, Boston U., Dartmouth, No. 29 Georgia, No. 32 Illinois, Iowa State, Northwestern, Princeton, No. 36 Purdue, No. 25 Texas Tech, Tulsa, No. 26 Virginia Tech and Yale.
