MountainView Collegiate Next Up for Tulsa Golfers

GOLF NOTES
TUCSON, Ariz. –– Coming off a second-place performance 11 days ago, the Tulsa Golden Hurricane golf team will be back in action this weekend at the MountainView Collegiate, Friday-Sunday, March 18-20.
The 54-hole tournament will be played over a three-day period at the par-72, 6,352-yard MountainView Golf Club course in the western foothills of the Santa Catalina Mountains.
The Hurricane had it second runner-up finish of the spring season at the Trinity Forest Invitational last week as freshman Lovisa Gunnar tied for first-place with an even-par score of 216. For her performance, Gunnar was named the American Athletic Conference's Golfer of the Week.
The Tulsa team this week will also feature seniors Lorena Tseng and Haley Greb, junior Lilly Thomas and freshman Sydney Seigel. In addition, freshman Hanna Robinett will play as an individual.
Thomas leads the Hurricane this season with a 72.5 stroke average and four top-20 finishes, including three in the top-10.
Tulsa is joined in the 16-team field by Arkansas, Florida, Houston, Iowa State, North Texas, UNLV, Oklahoma, defending champion Oklahoma State, San Jose State, Southern Miss, TCU, Texas A&M, Texas Tech and co-hosts Missouri and Kansas State.
