No. 31 Tulsa Wins a Pair on Sunday

Hurricane off to Best Start Since 2010-11
TULSA, Okla. ― The 31st ranked Tulsa men's tennis team downed North Dakota Sunday morning, 6-1, before taking care of crosstown rival Oral Roberts 7-0 in the nightcap. Tulsa improves to 9-4 on the season, the best start to a season since 2010-11, and 7-1 at home, including seven in a row.
The duos of Daniel Siddall/Tom Thelwall-Jones and Ezequiel Santalla/Stefan Hampe both won two doubles matches on Sunday. Siddall/Thelwall-Jones won 6-1 over North Dakota and 6-4 over Oral Roberts. The tandem is 8-3 on the season, and 4-0 from the No. 2 position. Santall and Hampe collected 6-2 wins over North Dakota and ORU to improve to 5-1 this spring, and three in a row. The Hurricane have now won the doubles point in nine of its 13 contests this spring.
Tulsa went 11-1 in singles on the day, all 11 wins coming in straight sets. Hampe continued his team-best four match winning streak, while Connor Di Marco won his team-leading eighth match of the spring. The Hurricane are now 42-27 in 2022 singles play.
Tulsa will welcome the second ranked team this season to the Michael D. Case Tennis Center next Sunday, March 13th against No. 20 Oklahoma at 1 p.m. Admission is free to all Tulsa home tennis matches!
