TULSA, Okla. – The Tulsa men's soccer team looks to improve to 3-0 in American Athletic Conference play as the Golden Hurricane hosts the South Florida Bulls Wednesday night at the Hurricane Soccer & Track Stadium. Tulsa has an overall 4-3-2 mark, while USF sits at 2-6 overall and 0-2 in league play.

Kickoff with the Bulls is set for 7:00 p.m. and will air on ESPN+ with Jeremie Poplin and former TU soccer star Bradley Bourgeois calling the action. Tickets are $5 general admission and can be purchased at the north ticket gate, online at TulsaHurricane.com/tickets or by calling the TU Athletic Ticket Office at 918.631.4688.

Tulsa has shut out its two conference opponents, Florida Atlantic 2-0 and UAB 1-0, while USF has suffered narrow losses to to #6-ranked SMU and FIU, falling 2-1 in both matches. Of Tulsa's nine games this year, the opposition has been held to one goal or less on seven occasions.

Malik Henry Scott leads the Tulsa offense with four goals and nine points this season, while Sergio Baena has scored three times. Tulsa brings a 3-3-2 record into Friday's game. TU dropped its most recent match against UNLV 2-1 in a game that was called in the 71st minute due to weather on Saturday. Sergio Baena scored on a penalty kick to level the score in the opening half, but UNLV responded to retake the lead early in the second half. Despite Tulsa putting pressure on the Rebels, a storm helped the visitors escape with the win. The loss snapped a regular season home winning streak that dated back to a 1-0 loss to Cincinnati on Oct. 19, 2019. Tulsa had gone 20-0-6 prior to the loss.

Junior goalkeeper Alex Lopez has played nearly minute this season while making 22 saves and posting a 1.07 goals against average. He now has 15 career shutouts to move into second place on the school's all-time list, trailing Jake McGuire's (2013-16) record 17 clean sheets.

South Florida has played an eight-game schedule so far, featuring three teams ranked among the nation's top-15 with a win over #15 Indiana and a two-point loss to #6 Washington and one-point to #6 SMU.

Offensively, the Bulls are led by Jalen Anderson with four goals, while Ajmeer Spengler had tallied six points on one goal and four assist. Goalkeeper Alan Horrocks has a 1.75 GAA and 25 saves in his eight outings this year.
