IRVING, Texas — Tulsa women's basketball guard Delanie Crawford was named to the American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll, announced by the league Tuesday. It's her third conference accolade of the season and second time on the honor roll.
A junior from Piedmont, Okla., Crawford averaged 18.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.5 steals and 2.0 assists to help lead Tulsa to an undefeated performance last week at the Maui Classic with wins over Texas Tech (11-2) and Southeastern Louisiana (4-7).
Against the Lady Raiders, Crawford was one of three double-figure scorers for Tulsa, tallying 17 points to push the Golden Hurricane to a 66-58 finish for their third 'Power 5' win of the season. One day later against the Lions, Crawford led TU with 20 points with an 8-of-16 clip from the field to go with a pair of free throws made in the final second of the game to secure the 48-47 win to wrap up nonconference play. She also pulled down 11 rebounds to earn her third career double-double and second of the season.
For her efforts, Crawford was named to the Maui Classic All-Tournament Team.
The Hurricane opens American Athletic Conference play at Memphis (4-7) Saturday at 2 p.m.
