2/12/2023 4:51:00 PM | Women's Golf
MELBOURNE, Fla. –– The Tulsa women's golf team sits in third place heading into final round action Monday at the Columbia Classic. The Hurricane takes its 6-over par 294 score into the final 18 holes at the par-72 Duran Golf Club.
Princeton leads the field with a score of 6-under par 282, followed by Texas Tech at 2-unde 286.
The second round of the Columbia Classic at Duran Golf Club on Sunday was canceled due to high winds on the course. Around 12:30 p.m. ET on Sunday, play was suspended due to winds exceeding 25 mph and gusts reaching 40 mph. All round two scores will not count. Round one's scores will be carried into day three of the tournament.
Tulsa has a trio of golfers tied for sixth place, including freshman Grace Kilcrease, sophomore Sydney Seigel and sophomore Lovisa Gunnar, with even-par scores of 72. Kilcrease and Siegel's scorers count towards the team score, however, Gunnar is playing as an individual and her score does not count among the top-4 team scores.
Senior Lilly Thomas carded an opening round of 74 for 18th place, while freshman Jenni Roller is in 31st place with a score of 76. Freshman Emily Boehrer's score of 78 is good for 48th place.
The Columbia Classic is now a 36-hole tournament. Round three will begin Monday at 8:30 a.m. (ET) with a shotgun start. The same pairings will be kept for the final 18 holes of play. Tulsa tees off at 8:30 a.m. (ET).
