Tulsa Men Drop 4-1 Decision at Arkansas

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The University of Tulsa men's tennis team fell 4-1 to the Arkansas Razorbacks (11-1) Wednesday at the Billingsley Tennis Center in Fayetteville.

The loss drops the Golden Hurricane to 4-3 on the year.

Senior Daniel Siddall and freshman Timothy Carlsson Seger shined in Tulsa's lone doubles win of the night, earning a 6-4 win over Gerard Planelles and Oscar Pinto at the No. 3 position. The doubles point ultimately came down to the No. 1 spot, where senior duo Kody Pearson and Connor Di Marco fought to a 6-6 tie but could not hang on in the tiebreaker set, losing 7-6(7-3).

Pearson scored for Tulsa with a decisive 6-2, 6-1 victory over the Razorbacks' Stefanos Savva at Singles No. 1. Following Pearson's win, Arkansas rattled off consecutive wins at the No. 3, 6 and 4 positions to clinch the dual match.

Tulsa will return home to host Nebraska (4-2) on Friday, Feb. 17, at 6 p.m. in the Michael D. Case Tennis Center.
