Tulsa Golfers in Fifth Place at MountainView Collegiate

TUCSON, Ariz. –– The Tulsa women's golf team sits in fifth place after second round action at the 54-hole MountainView Collegiate on Saturday.
The Golden Hurricane carded a 6-under par round of 280 at the par-72 MountainView Golf Club for a 36-hole total of 11-under par 565 heading into Sunday's final 18 holes. Iowa State leads the field at 31-under par, followed by Ohio State (-16), San Jose State (-13) and TCU (-13) with Tulsa rounding out the top five teams.
Lilly Thomas leads Tulsa in fourth place individually after scoring a 6-under par 66 second round total. After a clean even-par first round 72 on Friday, Thomas had six birdies and shot par the rest of the way for her 6-under score today.
Freshman Grace Kilcrease carded a 3-under par 69 and sits in 23rd place with a 143 total.
Sophomores Sydney Seigel and Lovisa Gunnar are tied for 32nd place with 144 totals. Gunnar scored her second straight even par 72 score, while Seigel turned in 2-over par 74 after a first round 70 a day earlier. Freshman Emily Böhrer is one stroke back with a score of 145 after a round of 73.
Jenni Roller, playing as an individual at this event, turned in a 2-under par 70 for a 148 total and is in 67th place.
The final round takes place on Sunday.
