Tulsa’s Alex Lopez Named to Top Drawer Soccer Preseason Best XI Team

Tulsa men's soccer player Alex Lopez was named to the Top Drawer Soccer Preseason Best XI first team, as announced today by the publication.

A 5-10 junior goalkeeper from Madrid, Spain, Lopez was named the American Athletic Conference Goalkeeper of the Year, was a first-team all-conference selection and earned United Soccer Coaches all-East Region second team accolades in each of his first two seasons. He has started in 31 of 32 games, logged 2,917 minutes in goal, has 89 saves for a 0.754 saves percentage and has allowed 29 goals for a 0.89 goals-against average.

Lopez was also named The American Preseason Goalkeeper of the Year and was tabbed to the conference preseason team last week.
