
Tulsa Golfers in 5th Place, Two Golfers Among Top-10

CORINTH, Texas –– Tulsa newcomer Allyn Stephens and senior Lilly Thomas are among the top-10 golfers after the first two rounds at the Sam Golden Invitational Monday at the par-72 Oakmont Country Club.
Stephens playing as an individual carded rounds of 67-68 for a 9-under par 135 and sits in second place, just one stroke off the leader. Thomas turned in scores of 68 and 70 for a 6-under par 138 and 8th place.
Tulsa is 16-under par with a 560 score after the first 36 holes, trailing first-place Houston by 12 strokes. The Cougars carded a 548 score, followed by Nebraska (556), UTSA (557), North Texas (559) and Tulsa (560).
Sophomore Grace Kilcrease and junior Lovisa Gunnar are tied for 14th place at 5-under par. Kilcrease scored rounds of 70 and 69, while Gunnar shot 69 and 70.
Sydney Seigel, also playing as an individual, is tied for 28th place with a score of 142 after identical rounds of 71.
Freshman Nora Seidl and sophomore Jenni Roller are tied or 49th place with scores of 2-over par 146.
The 54-hole tournament will conclude on Tuesday with the final 18 holes.
