TULSA, Okla. –– The Tulsa women's golf team hosts the Dale McNamara Invitational this Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 14-15, at the Cedar Ridge Country Club in Broken Arrow.
The Hurricane looks to make it three-straight titles at its home event. Tulsa bested South Florida by two strokes in 2023 and Nebraska by a stroke in 2022 to capture the past two wins. This year's 16-team field includes Abilene Christian, Arkansas, Boise State, BYU, Cal Poly, Kennesaw State, New Mexico State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, ORU, Rutgers, Sam Houston, South Florida, Tulane, UTSA and host Tulsa. Individuals from Oklahoma, OSU, Rutgers and Tulsa will also compete.
The Cedar Ridge Country Club plays to a par 71 and 6,366 yards. Teams will tee-off with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start on Monday and play 36 holes. The third and final round will start at 8:30 Tuesday morning.
Tulsa is coming off a 13th-place finish at the Schooner Fall Classic as Sydney Seigel finished 33rd individually with 2-over total of 142. Allyn Stephens was second on Tulsa's leaderboard and tied for 37th overall with a 3-over 143. Lovisa Gunnar shot +4 for the tournament and was a stroke off Stephens in 47th place.
Those three will compete in the Dale McNamara Invitational this week. Norah Seidl and Hanna Robinett round out the team of five TU golfers. Jenni Roller will compete as an individual in the event.
In last year's Dale McNamara Invitational, played at the Golf Club of Oklahoma, Roller finished fourth overall to lead the Hurricane. Seigel placed 10th, Gunnar in 23rd and Stephens in 27th. Robinett and Seidl placed 42nd and 71st, respectively.
