TULSA, Okla. — The University of Tulsa cross country teams are set to compete in a pair of meets this weekend, Oct. 18-19. It's the last regular-season action for Tulsa before the American Athletic Conference Championships on Saturday, Nov. 2, in Wichita, Kan.

Receiving votes in the latest USTFCCCA National Coaches' Poll, the Golden Hurricane men will head to Madison, Wis., for a second time this season to race in the Wisconsin Pre-Nationals Saturday at 10:40 a.m., and the women's team will run in the Bradley Pink Classic Friday at 3:45 p.m.

Dozens of programs from the Divisions I, II and III levels will make the trip to Peoria, Ill., for this year's Bradley Pink Classic. The Tulsa women, featuring Alicen Ashley, Chloe Hershenow, Robyn Kowalski, Ailey Mitchell, Sara Scott, Amy Morefield and McKenna Terrell, will take part in the Red Race ("A" Race), a 6K course on the Newman Golf Course.

The Wisconsin Pre-Nationals serve as a trial meet for teams and athletes prepping for the NCAA National Championships, also in Madison this November. The 8K course at the Thomas Zimmer Championship Cross Country Course will challenge the Golden Hurricane men as they'll face some of the toughest competition this year. The roster traveling to Madison this week includes Luke Birdseye, Ben Brown, Jaden Forester, James Knockton, Brady Korsmo, Sean Korsmo, Charlie Krasnoff, Luke Lambert and Chris McLeod with Oisin Spillane competing alone in the open race at noon.
