Tulsa, Okla. - No. 4 in the conference, Tulsa welcomes the No. 5 Shockers of Wichita State to the Donald W. Reynolds Center on Friday, Nov 1st, at 6:00 P.M. Tulsa will then travel to Wichita to take on the Shockers on Sunday, Nov. 3rd at 1:00 P.M.

This will be the 56th and 57th meeting between the two. The last win for the Golden Hurricane came in 2019. with the last away win against the Shockers came in 1979 at the Shocker Invitational (excludes neutral sites).
Tulsa will hope to continue a 3 game-hot streak of three-set sweeps as they look to battle with Wichita State this weekend. Preseason polls placed WSU at NO. 2 in the AAC while Tulsa was ranked No. 10 as Tulsa looks to defy the projections.

WSU is ranked second in AAC for total team kills and 47th in the Nation for Division I. The Hurricane will also need to watch out for the blocking front for WSU as they rank third in the AAC for total blocks. Leading the attack for WSU is Izzi Strand who ranks third in the conference and 20th in the nation for assists. Tulsa will also be watching Morgan Stout at the net as she leads the team with 84 total blocks.

The Hurricane look to continue the trust in Marta Pecalli as the dig leader in the conference and look to the team's service aces to help propel them through the weekend. Pecalli has been playing strong defense as she earned her sixth Defensive Player of the Week from the AAC for her stint against UAB and Memphis where she was able to post 5.83 digs per set.

Also being powerful for the Hurricane is junior setter Brayden Hipp who has earned her second player of the week recognition after leading the Hurricane offense through 2 three-set sweeps of UAB and Memphis. Hipp has been able to record over 1,000 career assists and has 6.65 assists per set this season.

The Hurricane will be celebrating Youth Day on Friday, Nov. 1st with a glow stick giveaway and postgame player autographs. First Serve is at 6:00 P.M. You can catch all Golden Hurricane Volleyball streaming on ESPN+.
