TULSA, Okla. — Head Golden Hurricane Women's Basketball Coach Angie Nelp announced Wednesday the addition of three incoming freshmen to the 2025 signing class, including Haven Fisher, Josie Megehee and Alisha Peavy.
Fisher, a 6-0 guard from Prior Lake, Minn., is a four-year letterwinner at Prior Lake High School. As a junior last season, she averaged 12 points and two steals per game to help her squad finish 15-13 overall and for a fourth-place finish at 3-2 in the Minnesota 4AAAA conference. As a sophomore, she helped lead the Lakers to a 16-11 overall finish and a 6-2 mark to place second in the conference. She is also a four-year letterwinner on girl's varsity tennis team.
Fisher starred for the Minnesota Fury 2025 S40 club at the AAU level and brought home Prep Girls Hoops Class of 2025 AAU Breakout Player of the Year honors.
"We're thrilled to add Haven to our team," Nelp said. "She is a big guard who brings a complete skill set and a fierce intensity to both offense and defense. Her commitment to winning and to building a strong team culture is exactly what we look for in a player, and we're excited to see the impact she'll have in our program."
Megehee is a 5-9 guard from Shawnee Okla. She was a three-year letterwinner at Bethel High School in Bethel Acres, Okla., before joining Shawnee High School this season. At BHS, Megehee averaged 21.6 points, 5.9 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 2.9 steals per game in three seasons. She helped her teams finish in the Class 5A quarterfinals in her freshman and junior seasons and was a semifinalist as a sophomore. Last season, Megehee was named the Little River Valley Conference Player of the Year, a VYPE Oklahoma top-100 student-athlete, Little-City All-State First Team and an all-tournament team selection for the Bertha Teague tourney.
"We're thrilled to welcome Josie to our program," said Nelp. "As a strong scoring guard, she brings an offensive spark that will energize our team. Josie is a fierce competitor with a work ethic that not only drives her own success but also influences those around her to push their limits. Her impact on and off the court is undeniable, and we're excited to have her as part of our family."
Peavy is a four-year starter and letterwinner for Pieper High School in San Antonio. She has amassed over 805 points, 534 rebounds and 152 steals, averaging 13.5 points, 9.1 rebounds and 2.6 steals. As a junior a year ago, Peavy led the Warriors to a 27-7 overall record to finish second in district, garnering Offensive Player of the Year and TABC All-Region honors. She was named the Newcomer of the Year as a sophomore after averaging 13.4 points, 9.9 rebounds and 2.6 steals per contest.
"We're excited to welcome Alisha to our TU family," Nelp said. "As a versatile player with exceptional talent, she blends size, skill, and scoring ability that will bring a dynamic edge to our roster. Alisha's dedication and approach to the game sets a standard of excellence that fits our program perfectly."
