Tulsa Golfers in 14th Place at Mountain View Collegiate

TUCSON, Ariz. –– After two rounds at the par-72 Preserve Golf Club, the Tulsa women's golf team has a 598 total for 14th place at the 54-hole Mountain View Collegiate. The Golden Hurricane carded a 7-over par 295 on Saturday, eight strokes better than Friday's round of 303.
Sophomore Grace Kilcrease carded a 1-under par 71 for Tulsa's best round of the day, while junior Sydney Seigel turned in a second-round score of 73. Both golfers sit at 148 after the first 36 holes and are tied for 40th place. Redshirt freshman Allyn Stephens is in 52nd place with a score of 150 after her 75 today.
Kilcrease began the day with a birdie after teeing off from hole 10. She also birdied her 15th hole, the par-3 sixth, but bogeyed the following par-4 seventh hole to finish the day at 1-under par.
Jenni Roller and Sirah Steinhoff each turned in rounds of 76 Saturday. The sophomore Roller is in 63rd place with a total score of 152, while Steinhoff has a score of 160 for 79th place.
Tulsa's fellow American Athletic Conference member South Florida and Texas A&M are tied for first place with 5-under 571 totals. Houston (572), Iowa State (572) and Arkansas (574) round out the top five teams.
Final round action will take place on Sunday in shotgun format.
