TULSA, Okla. — The University of Tulsa's Delanie Crawford was tabbed to the 2024 Academic All-District Women's Basketball Team, announced Tuesday by College Sports Communicators. This honor recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom.
A 5'10" guard from Piedmont, Okla., Crawford maintains a 3.531 GPA in management. As a junior for the Golden Hurricane, she's enjoyed one of the most prolific seasons in program history as the fourth Tulsa player all-time to eclipse the 600-point plateau in a season with 648 in 34 games so far this year to become 13th TU player to surpass 1,000 career points.
As the 2024 American Athletic Conference Most Improved Player of the Year and a second-team all-conference selection, Crawford has nearly doubled her point total and scoring average from a year ago (334 points, 11.1 ppg), putting up averages of 19.1 points, 5.8 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.1 steals help the Hurricane capture a share of the AAC regular season title, a No. 3 seed in the WBIT, a 15-1 record in the Donald W. Reynolds Center and a 25-win season for just the second time in team history.
Crawford advances to the national ballot for Academic All-America, which will be voted on by members of CSC and announced on Tuesday, April 16.
