Tulsa Softball Closes Home Season with Weekend Series Against UTSA

TULSA, Okla. –– Nine Tulsa seniors will be playing for the final time at the Collins Family Softball Complex as the Golden Hurricane hosts the UTSA Roadrunners this weekend, Friday-Sunday, April 26-28.
 
Friday's game will start at 5 p.m., while both Saturday and Sunday game times have been moved to 1 p.m.
 
Tulsa comes into the series with a 27-18 record and 12-9 AAC mark, while the Roadrunners sit at 13-37 overall and 3-18 in league action. The Hurricane will look to snap a four-game losing streak, falling to No. 2-ranked Oklahoma and dropping a three-game series at Charlotte, while trying to improve upon its 13-3 home record.
 
UTSA snapped an 11-game losing streak on Tuesday night with a 7-6 road win over Incarnate Word in a non-conference matchup.
 
Tulsa's nine seniors playing in their final games at the Collins Complex include starting outfielders Mackenzie Denson and Haley Morgan, shortstop Imani Edwards, second baseman Abby Jones, pitchers Kylee Nash and Kaiya Luneckas and utility players Kennedy Cramer and Tara Hall.
 
The seniors will be honored following Sunday's matchup.
 
Tulsa comes into the weekend series ranked second in The American with a .309 batting average, while UTSA is hitting at a .204 average. Five Tulsa players are hitting above .300 on the year, while UTSA's Jaylen Prichard leads the Roadrunners with a .303 average.
 
Denson is batting .395, Edwards .381, Jones .328 and Morgan at .304, while junior Claira Skaggs bats .349 and fellow junior Kailyn Bearpaw is just off the cusp of hitting .300 with a .298 average.
