Duo becomes third and fourth All-Americans in program history.

ATLANTA, Ga. — University of Tulsa juniors Delanie Crawford and Temira Poindexter were named 2024 WBCA NCAA Division I Coaches' All-America Honorable Mentions, as announced by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association. They are the first Golden Hurricane players since TU Hall-of-Famer Jillian Robbins (2003-07) in 2007 to bring home All-America honors.

"As a coach, witnessing Temira and Delanie achieve this All-American status fills me with immense joy. This recognition is well-deserved and a testament to their dedication and relentless work ethic, and I couldn't be happier for them," said Head Coach Angie Nelp.

Crawford and Poindexter are two of 52 Division I women's basketball players to earn All-America honors from the WBCA and are among the 42 to be named honorable mentions.

"This achievement also speaks to our culture of teamwork here at Tulsa," said Nelp. "The way our players play together and for each other is a major factor in every individual's development and success in our program."

A 5'10" guard from Piedmont, Okla., Crawford was a consistently effective shooter for the Hurricane this season, scoring 19.0 points per game to rank second on the team, third in the American Athletic Conference and 38th in the country, and was efficient with a .437 field goal percentage, a .393 mark from three-point range and an .837 percentage from the charity line. She paced Tulsa with 95 assists at 2.7 average, pulled down 5.7 boards per contest and finished the year with five double-doubles across her 35 starts for the Hurricane.

Crawford etched her name in the Tulsa record book having knocked down 99 three-pointers—a single-season program record and sixth-highest mark nationwide. She also finished top-10 in the Tulsa single-season charts ranked third for points (665), third for field goals made (219), fourth for points per game (19.0) and 10th for free throws made (128). She took home second team all-conference honors and was named The American's Most Improved Player of the Year having nearly doubled her point total from 334 last year to 648 this season.

A 6'1" forward from nearby Sapulpa, Okla., Poindexter capped off the greatest scoring season ever by a Tulsa player with 734 points, many of which were scored by a school-record 265 field goals made. She also finished the season ranked second for points per game (21.0), second for three-pointers made (85) and ninth for blocked shots (53) in program history.

Poindexter reached double-figure points in all 35 starts, 20 or more points in 21 games and 30 or more points six times on route to become the first Tulsa player to bring home American Athletic Conference Player of the Year honors. As a multi-level scorer, Poindexter ranked seventh in the nation for points (734), 11th for field goals made (265), 16th for points per game (21.0) and 21st for three-pointers (85).
