"The varsity 8+ winning the conference championship was really just the pinnacle of the year for that crew. They had a solid performance at the Sunshine Invitational finishing 3rd overall, and then raced well at Lake Natoma Invite against Gonzaga," said Tulsa Head Coach Brandon Campbell.

"I really think it was how they responded to adversity at the Lake Wheeler Invitational that was their defining moment from the season. The crew left knowing exactly what they needed to work on in the final weeks of preparation and then went out at conference and executed flawlessly. It was an incredible journey and I know the whole staff was glad to be a part of it."

The Varsity 8 totaled four victories in six events during the spring season and had a third-place performance at the prestigious Sunshine State Invitational.
