WILMINGTON, Del. — University of Tulsa rower Johanna Kristof out of Osterreich, Austria, was named Honorable Mention All-America, announced Friday by the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA). The graduate student is officially the second CRCA All-American in program history and joins an elite club as one of 50 rowers in the nation to receive CRCA All-America honors.
The honor recognizes the outstanding performances of rowers and coxswains nationally in women's collegiate rowing. The honorees must have rowed in at least 75 percent of the current spring season's races in a varsity boat and are selected based on their institution's varsity eight finish within the country, coaches' nomination and their erg score.
A three-time American Athletic Conference all-conference recipient and a 2024 first-team selection as a member of the Tulsa Varsity 8 - The 2024 American Boat of the Year - Kristof helped TU capture the first Varsity 8 race at the AAC Championship for the first time in team history.
Kristof also helped the Hurricane earn wins over Creighton and Central Oklahoma. In addition, she helped TU power past UCF, Boston College, Michigan State, North Carolina and Drexel for third place at the Sunshine State Invitational to earn AAC Boat of the Week honors on April 3, outpaced Loyola Marymount and Sacramento State for first in the Varsity 8+ race at the Natoma Invitational and beat out Kansas in the first round of the Lake Wheeler Invitational.
