Tulsa Earns WBCA Academic Special Mention Recognition

ATLANTA, Ga. — The Tulsa women's basketball team earned 2023-24 WBCA Academic Special Mention recognition with a 3.239 cumulative team grade point average last season, as announced by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association.
 
Teams having a 3.0 combined GPA and qualifying for consideration in their respective division received the honors. It's the second time in program history the Golden Hurricane has earned the award following the 2022-23 season with a 3.1 GPA.
 
Under the direction of Head Coach Angie Nelp, Tulsa was one of 112 women's basketball programs to be recognized this year by the WBCA for academic success and one of 12 schools to produce multiple WBCA All-Americans, including Temira Poindexter and returning senior guard Delanie Crawford.
