VICTORIA, British Columbia — The Rowing Canada Aviron (RCA) has announced returning University of Tulsa senior Kristina Harris as a selection to Canada's National Under 23 Team to compete at the World Rowing Championships in St. Catharines, Ontario, spanning Aug. 18-25.

Harris, a native of Guelph, Ontario, will join Aurelia Elliott of Harvard, Ella McKinley of Syracuse, Madeson Scott of Michigan and coxswain Serafina Dell from Brock University on the Women's 4+ boat.

"This is an incredible accomplishment for Kristina," Head Rowing Coach Brandon Campbell said. "Our entire program, department and all the supporters of the TU community will be cheering loudly as she represents her home country at the upcoming U23 World Championships."

Harris is TU's second rower to make the Canadian U23 National Team following current U.S. Olympian Jennifer Casson in 2016. Other Tulsa rowers who've competed for national teams include Jamie Roloff (2013), Emalia Seto (2013), Colleen Wohlrab (2013), Zoe Fleischmann (2014) and Michelle Sechser (five times) for the U.S. National Team, while Johanna Kristof (2020) raced for Austria and Madlen Markova (2020) competed for Bulgaria.
