TULSA, Okla. — University of Tulsa women's basketball Head Coach Angie Nelp announced Monday the addition of Brynn Eshoo and Tobi Ademuwagun to the 2024-25 roster.
A true freshman, Eshoo is a 6-2 forward from Inverness, Ill. Over the past two seasons, she led the William Fremd High School Vikings to division and regional championships with her squad finishing the 2022-23 season as the top-ranked team in Illinois for 4A. Eshoo was a 2023 Mid-Suburban League All-Conference First Team selection and a 2023 Daily Herald All-Area selection as well. She comes from a basketball family as her father, Brad, played ball for Knox College.
"It's a great day for our program as we welcome Brynn to our family," Nelp said. "Her size and versatility along with a relentless winning mentality make her a fantastic addition. We look forward to seeing her contribute and grow in our program."
Ademuwagun will be a redshirt freshman this year after missing all of last season at Penn with an injury. A Houston native, the 5-11 guard was an elite performer for Jordan High School in Fulshear, Texas. Ademuwagun was a team captain for JHS and averaged a double-double per game with 21 points and 11 rebounds per contest to go with two blocks per game, garnering Second-Team All-State, First-Team All-District, First-Team All-State Tournament and Offensive MVP honors. At the club level, she played for The Hoop Society, Cy-fair Premier and Team Spaz and won the Dallas Clash of the Clubs championship.
"We are thrilled to have Tobi join our team," said Nelp. "Her combination of skill, strength, and scoring ability make her an exciting addition to our roster. We are eager to see her impact this team with her drive and perseverance."
