TULSA, Okla. — Although the main draws of the ITA Men's All-American Championships will continue to run on the courts of the Michael D. Case Tennis Center through Sunday, the action concluded for the hosting Golden Hurricane men's tennis team Thursday.
Hurricane players saw tough competition from all corners of the country as they took on 14 nationally-ranked opponents across 18 total matches.
Redshirt freshman Calum Jestin and redshirt junior Will Pellegrini enjoyed their first career matches for the Hurricane and won a doubles match together in the pre-qualifying doubles back-draw over Baylor's Luc Koenig and Louis Bowden in a 6-3, 6-4 result.
True freshman Adam Bojkovic experienced his first home action at the Case Tennis Center and played in the pre-qualifying singles and qualifying doubles draws.
Junior transfer Reiya Komagata was the only TU player to appear in both main draws. He took on the No. 6 doubles tandem in the country from Arizona alongside teammate Alex Okonkwo and faced No. 23 Samir Banerjee from Stanford in a two-set match.
Tulsa will head to Stillwater for the OSU Invite from Oct. 11-13 before coming home to host the ITA Central Regional Championships at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center, spanning Oct. 16-20.
