Tulsa Falls at No. 20 Alabama

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — The Tulsa men's tennis team fell 4-0 Friday evening to a tough Alabama squad in Tuscaloosa, dropping the Golden Hurricane to 3-3 on the season while the No. 20 Crimson Tide improved to 4-1.

In doubles action, TU had the early advantage after junior Luis Felipe Miguel and redshirt sophomore Gus Tettamble nabbed a 6-2 victory in the No. 2 position. The Tide, however, would fight to 6-3 and 6-4 wins in the first and third spots, respectively, to secure the coveted doubles point.

Alabama clinched and ended the dual match at 4-0 with straight set decisions in the third, fourth and sixth courts, leaving sophomore Alex Okonkwo tied one set all in the first position, Miguel down a set in the No. 2 slot and true freshman Nikola Puntaric up one set in the five-spot. It was Puntaric's first action for the Golden Hurricane after joining the team over winter break.

The Tulsa men will remain in Alabama and take a quick drive across the state to Auburn to face the Tigers (3-2) Sunday at noon.
