Tulsa Tennis Opens American Individual Conference Championships

TULSA, Okla. – Tulsa men's and women's tennis opened competition at the 2025 American Individual Championships on Thursday, Oct. 23 at Michael D. Case Center.

In men's singles, Victor Tosetto fell in the Round of 16 to Charlotte's Ivan Dreycopp, 4-6, 5-7, while Takeshi Taco earned a straight-set victory over Ondrej Valek of UAB, 7(7)-6(5), 6-2, to advance to tomorrow's quarterfinals.

On the women's side, Carolina Alonso dropped her opening-round match to FAU's Alexia Patru, 5-7, 1-6. Tayla Wilmot picked up a first-round win against ECU's Kim Auerswald, 7(7)-6(5), 1-6, 6-3, before falling in the Round of 16, 3-6, 0-6.

In doubles play, Wilmot and Alonso were edged 6-8 by an ECU duo in the first round. The men's pair of Timothy Carlsson Seger and Gus Tettamble received a bye and will take the court tomorrow in the quarterfinals.

Taco and the Carlsson Seger/Tettamble duo will represent Tulsa in the main draw action on Friday.
