CONCORD, N.C. — The Tulsa women's cross country team looks to defend its title while the men's team looks to get back on top at the American Conference Championships on Saturday, November 1 at Frank Liske Park in Concord, North Carolina. The men start things off at 8:15 a.m. with an 8K race while the women's 6K follows at 9 a.m. The championships will be live streamed on ESPN+ with Scott Manzie and Bryan Getzer providing commentary.
The women's team looks for their eighth American Conference Championship after claiming the title last season by just three points over Tulane. Newcomer Evyn Humphrey has been consistently at the top for the Golden Hurricane this season, leading the way in all three events. The sophomore has recorded back-to-back top 10 finishes at the Gans Creek Classic and the Arturo Barrios Invite. Robyn Kowalski and Ailey Mitchell also are back after scoring for last year's championship squad.
The men look to reclaim the top spot on the podium after having their 10-year championship streak snapped last season by Tulane. Ben Brown, Charlie Krasnoff, Shay McEvoy, and James Knockton are all back to run for the Golden Hurricane after earning All-Conference honors last year.
The season continues on November 14 at the NCAA Midwest Regionals in Stillwater, Oklahoma with the full field to be announced at a later date.
