Jestin and Doig Successful In Qualifying Draw at ITA Central Regional Championships

NORMAN, Okla. – Calum Jestin and Connor Doig advanced to the main draw of the ITA Central Regional after earning victories in their round of 32 qualifying matchups on Wednesday in Norman, Okla.

Doig battled through three sets to defeat Drake's Adan Tarquino, taking the first 6-3, dropping the second 2-6, and securing the win with a 6-3 tiebreaker. Jestin followed with a strong performance, cruising past North Dakota's Christo Alex in straight sets, 6-3 and 6-2.

The pair will join teammates Victor Tosetto, Timothy Carlsson Seger, Reiya Komagata, Nikita Volonski, and Takeshi Taco in the main draw tomorrow. First-round matchups include Tosetto facing Saint Louis' Andres Castellanos, Jestin meeting Memphis' Moritz Kudernatsch, Seger taking on North Dakota's Leo Galliano, Komagata against Saint Louis' Alejandro Ochoa, Volonski versus Memphis' Marko Milosavljevic, Taco going up against Nebraska's Henry Bilicic, and Doig squaring off with Memphis' Obrad Markovski.
