
Tulsa Takes on Stillwater for the NCAA Midwest Regional

STILLWATER, OKLA. — The season is winding down as the Tulsa cross country team heads west for the 2025 NCAA Midwest Regional in Stillwater, Oklahoma. The women's 6K is slated to start at 9 a.m., followed by the men's 10K at 10 a.m. with live streaming available on ESPN+.
The Golden Hurricane men are coming off another American Conference Championship, their 11th in the last 12 seasons. The team made a late push to overcome defending champion Tulane to reclaim the title with 35 points. Shay McEvoy led the way in the 8K with a third-place finish, while Ben Brown (fifth), Luke Birdseye (eighth), Levi Rowan (ninth), and Charlie Krasnoff (10th) also scored for the Golden Hurricane.
On the women's side, Evyn Humphrey claimed the individual title with a time of 20:04.1. Kathryn Koonts (11th), Sara Morefield (14th), Matilda Laidlaw (27th), and Robyn Kowalski (29th) also scored for the women who finished fourth as a team.
The top two finishing teams will automatically qualify for the NCAA Championships on November 22 in Columbia, Mo. Between the nine regions, 18 teams will auto qualify, followed by 14 at-large teams selected by the NCAA Subcommittee. The top four individuals, whose team did not qualify or were selected by the subcommittee, will also run at the NCAA Championships. A total of 36 individuals will qualify with two at-large selections will get to run for a chance at a national championship.
