Tosetto and Komagata Advance to Doubles Final at Cowboy Classic

STILLWATER, Okla. — The Tulsa men's tennis team continued play at the Cowboy Classic on Friday, highlighted by Victor Tosetto's run to the singles semifinals and a strong showing from Reiya Komagata and Tosetto in doubles action.

In singles, Tosetto battled through a hard-fought quarterfinal against Wichita State's Zaid Mashni, earning a comeback win, 3-6, 6-4, 6-3, to advance to the semifinals. He later fell to Oklahoma State's Nicolas Kobelt, 6-3, 6-3, to close out a strong day of competition.

Takeshi Taco and Reiya Komagata both faced tough opponents from OSU in their quarterfinal matchups. Taco dropped his match to Charlie Valentine, 1-6, 4-6, while Komagata fell to Kobelt, 0-6, 5-7. Taco also began a consolation match against Wichita State's Pablo Roche that went unfinished.

In doubles, Komagata and Tosetto continued their solid play, securing a 7-5 victory over Wichita State's Bracks and Milushev to advance to the finals.

Tulsa will wrap up play at the Cowboy Classic on Saturday with doubles finals and remaining singles matches.
