TULSA, Okla. — A 17-point second half from David Green led Tulsa to a 90-85 win over Denver at the Reynolds Center on Monday to close an impressive non-conference slate with a 12-1 record. It's the team's best record in non-conference since 1999-00 and they are the only team in the American Conference to get through non-conference play with double digit wins.

David Green led Tulsa with 23 points, converting 8-of-9 field goals and 6-of-7 free throws. Tylen Riley added 18 points, making all six of his free throw attempts while also collecting six rebounds. Myles Rigsby recorded 16 points, including two 3-pointers, and shared the team lead with four steals. Ade Popoola contributed defensively with four steals and added four rebounds.

The game opened with Tulsa taking an early lead on a layup by Green at 19:40. Denver's Gabe Oldham responded quickly with a dunk, assisted by Logan Kinsey. Tulsa maintained its momentum with Popoola securing a fast-break layup and a subsequent steal that led to another bucket, helping the hosts to a 6-2 advantage. Zane Nelson kept Denver close with a three-pointer at 16:37, and the teams traded baskets throughout a tightly contested half. Denver tied the game at 38 with 49 seconds left on two free throws by Kinsey, but Tulsa reclaimed the lead with a layup by Jaylen Lawal at 37 seconds. Rigsby sealed the half for Tulsa, scoring a fast-break layup following his own steal with five seconds remaining, giving Tulsa a 42-38 edge at the end of the first half.

Green's scoring efforts propelled Tulsa to maintain their lead in the second half against Denver. Green opened with a layup and a fast-break dunk, contributing to a 5-point swing early in the half. Denver's Nelson kept the visitors close with a layup and a free throw at 17:49, narrowing the lead to three points. However, Tulsa's Ian Smikle and Rigsby scored crucial buckets, and Green added a three-pointer at the 1:11 mark to extend the lead. Tulsa secured a 90-85 victory, with Green's late free throw solidifying the win.

Tulsa is off until Dec. 31 when they start American Conference play against Rice in the Reynolds Center on ESPNU.
