Tulsa’s Slate Set for Acrisure Series

GREATER PALM SPRINGS, Calif. — For the second year in a row the Tulsa men's basketball team will participate in the Acrisure Series at Acrisure Arena, playing two games just before Thanksgiving. The 2026 Acrisure Series is presented by Acrisure, Visit Greater Palm Springs and Spotlight 29 Casino and will feature 32 programs to comprise the largest MTE field ever over the six-day event.
Tulsa will open the event on Monday, November 23 against Oregon State before closing the event on November 24 against Illinois State. Tip-off against Oregon State is scheduled for 1 p.m. CT while the second game is scheduled at 3:30 p.m. CT
It'll be the sixth all-time meeting between the Golden Hurricane and the Beavers when they tip-off. Tulsa leads the series, 3-2, but the Beavers took the last meeting back in 2022 by just three points. Four of the previous five meetings were decided by less than 10 points.
The contest against Illinois State reunites Tulsa against an old Missouri Valley rival. The sides have played nearly even through 35 meetings, with Tulsa holding the edge 18-17. It'll be the first game between the sides since 2017 with the Redbirds winning each of the last three.
Last season the Golden Hurricane participated in the event, cruising to an 81-51 win over San Jose State before taking a thrilling win over Northern Iowa, 63-60.
