LEXINGTON, Ky. — After the conclusion of a historic 2025 season by the Tulsa volleyball team, true freshman middle blocker Jill Hanson and senior setter Brayden Hipp were named Central All-Region players by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA).

This is the first time since 2012 that Tulsa had two players earn all-region honors together and the fifth time ever that the Golden Hurricane's had multiple all-region student-athletes in the same season.

Hanson and Hipp helped Tulsa go 7-0 against central region teams, including Oklahoma, Arkansas, Oral Roberts, Little Rock, Wichita State (twice) and Tulane.

From San Antonio, Texas, Hanson is the third freshman in program history to receive all-region honors, joining Jessica Adams and TU Hall of Famer Tyler Henderson in 2009. As a starter in every set across all 32 matches for the Golden Hurricane, she finished the year as Tulsa's leader in points (344.5), points per set (3.02), hitting percentage (.408), blocks (123) and blocks per set (1.08).

Hanson's .408 hitting mark broke the record for the best single-season hitting percentage in program history. She was the No. 1 freshman in the country in hitting and ranked 21st among all Division I players. As the American Conference Freshman of the Year, she hit over .500 in 14 matches, led Tulsa in blocking 17 times, recorded seven double-figure kill matches and had one double-double.

From Fort Myers, Fla., Hipp enjoyed one of the best seasons by a Tulsa setter in recent history. She led the American Conference with 10.18 assists per set to finish with 1,161 total assists. She was all over the floor for TU, earning 18 double-doubles throughout the year, while finishing with 3.01 digs per set – the highest mark among all American setters.

As the American Setter of the Year and five time Setter of the Week, Hipp had nine matches with over 40 assists, three contests with over 50 assists and was the only setter in the league to reach 60 assists in a single match. She finished her career with 2,371 assists and 1,099 digs
