Probing the Pirates

- The Pirates have won two of their last three games, with their best win coming against Tulane, 75-64, in Greenville.
- East Carolina lost their first three conference games before getting their first on Jan. 11 against Tulane.
- The Pirates were voted to finish sixth in the AAC Preseason Coaches' Poll, two spots behind Tulsa.
- Like Tulsa's last game against the Pirates, ECU continues to be a tough force on defense, turning opponents over the most out of all AAC teams (19.74) per game.
- Amiya Joyner is a top-five player in the conference for double-doubles (9), rebounds (199), rebounds per game (8.7), free throw attempts (99) and field goal percentage (.471).
Hurricane Defense is Surging
- Over the past six games, the Tulsa defense has stood as The American's top scoring defense.
- TU has held opponents to a 57.33 scoring average over that span, including the then-top scoring offense in Memphis (70.8 ppg) to just 57 points.
- Last time out, Tulsa held Charlotte (2/5) to just 53 points. Before that, the Hurricane held Wichita State to 42 points, a season-low by a TU opponent.
- Even in the two losses during the last six games, Tulsa's defense still managed to keep Rice and UTSA under 65 points.
Tulsa Gets First Conference Road Win at Charlotte
- The Hurricane came away with its first AAC away win last time out against Charlotte (2/5) after dropping four straight on the road to start conference play.
- TU grabbed a 28-point win over the 49ers, led by Delanie Crawford's 7-of-10 made 3-pointers. Three others joined her in double-figure scoring.
- Tulsa is now 6-5 so far in American Athletic Conference action with five of six of its wins coming at home in the Donald W. Reynolds Center.

- This season, Crawford is averaging 6.1 FG, 2.7 3PT and 2.1 FT per game.

- Crawford is also first in the AAC for field goal attempts (351) and 3-point attempts (178), second for field goals (140), total points (390), total treys (62), third for points per game (17.0) and threes per game (2.70).
- Her 168 total 3-point attempts are the third-most in Division I.
- She has also been one of Tulsa's most prominent rebounders and assisters. Crawford is second on the team with 120 total rebounds, ranking only behind teammate Hadley Periman (8.5 rpg) with a 5.2 average per game.
- Crawford also has the third-most assists on the team with 49 (2.1 apg).
- She earned her first AAC Weekly Honorable Mention nod this season after earning a double-double with 25 points and 13 rebounds vs. Chicago State. She picked up her second one after averaging 21.5 points across the two West Palm Beach Classic games (Montana and Tennessee), including tying her then-season-high of 26 points in the win over Montana (12/20).
- Crawford dropped 36 points on East Carolina (12/29) on a 14-20 clip from the field, 3-7 from three and 5-5 at the line, earning her second career AAC Player of the Week award and first of the season.

- Despite missing three nonconference games with injury, Periman is still the Hurricane's top rebounder with 170 boards, the league's sixth-highest total this season.
- She has 557 career rebounds with a career rate of 6.55 per game, marking the eighth-best average among all active players in the AAC.
