Tulsa Men Fall to No. 8 Arizona

TUCSON, Ariz. — The Tulsa men's tennis team took another top 10 test on Sunday, this time against the No. 8 Arizona Wildcats, falling 5-2 Sunday in Tucson. The Golden Hurricane's fourth consecutive loss drops them to 7-11 on the season.
Tulsa won the doubles point thanks to 6-3 wins by sophomore Alex Okonkwo and junior Timothy Carlsson Seger over No. 58 Jay Friend and Eric Padgham at the top of the lineup and redshirts Calum Jestin and Will Pellegirni in the third spot. The latter duo clinched the opening advantage for Tulsa.
The Wildcats clawed back in singles play, winning five of the six courts in straight sets. The lone Hurricane to capture a singles victory was junior Luis Felipe Miguel in the two-spot, cruising to a 6-2, 6-1 winner over 60th-ranked Zoren Ludoski.
The Tulsa men will come home to the Michael D. Case Tennis Center to host AAC foe Charlotte (7-5) on Friday, March 14, at 6 p.m. It will be the final ESPN+ broadcast from the Case Tennis Center this season.
