Roters Named Coach of the Year, Four Earn All-Conference Honors

IRVING, Texas –– University of Tulsa Head Coach Mike Roters was named the American Athletic Conference Golf Coach of the Year for the 2024-25 season, while four players earned All-Conference honors, the league announced on Tuesday.
 
Along with coach Roters, Lovisa Gunnar, Romaine Masserey, Jenni Roller, and Sydney Seigel earned All-Conference honors.
 
In his first season at the helm, Roters guided the Golden Hurricane to the American Athletic Conference Championship to earn a berth into the NCAA Regionals. TU won the AAC Championship by 21 strokes for its first tournament victory of the season. Tulsa closed the season by earning three top-five finishes before winning the American Championship.
 
Masserey earned her first AAC All-Conference honors at Tulsa. She claimed the individual championship at the American Championship last week. She finished the AAC Championship with a score of seven-under-par 209. This was her first tournament crown of the season, and she became the first Golden Hurricane to win the AAC Championship. Masserey, who joined the team for the spring semester, finished the year with three top-20 finishes.
 
Masserey is joined on the all-conference team by teammates Lovisa Gunnar, Jenni Roller, and Sydney Seigel. Gunnar earned all-conference honors the past two seasons and finished tied for third at the AAC Championship. She had four top-20 finishes this season, including two top-ten finishes.
 
Roller finished the AAC Championship in sixth place and had two top-ten finishes this season. She was co-champion at the Veritex Bank Collegiate and as she shot six-under-par 210 at the event. This was the first individual title she won. She had 10 rounds at par or under on the season with 10 top-20 finishes.
 
Seigel is the final Golden Hurricane to earn all-conference honors this season. She had 10 rounds at par or better during the year, including two during the AAC Championship. She earned a tie for seventh at even-par 216. She had two top-20 finishes and a top-10 finish this season.
