NAIRN, Scotland – Romaine Masserey, the Individual Champion of the American Athletic Conference Tournament, participated in the 122nd Women's Amateur Championship at the Nairn Golf Club.

During the first two days of the event, 144 golfers competed for a place in the top 64, which advanced them to the match-play section of the Championship.

In the first round, Masserey recorded a score of six-over-par 78, including two birdies. She made improved in the second round, shooting even par on the front nine. She finished her back nine strong with back-to-back birdies on holes 17 and 18, ending the second day with a score of one-under-par 71.

She finished with a total score of five-over-par 149, placing her in a 12-player playoff to advance to the Match Play portion of the Championship.

The Championship continued until late evening to determine which golfers would advance. After six playoff holes, they ran out of daylight, and the final spot had yet to be decided.

Masserey and Judy Joo resumed play early Thursday morning to determine who would advance to Match Play. On the seventh playoff hole, Masserey came up just short and did not qualify for Match Play.
