
American Conference Finalizes Women’s Basketball Pairings for 2025-26 Season

IRVING, Texas — The American Conference has announced the 2025-26 women's basketball pairings for the 18-game league schedule. Conference play begins Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2025, and will run through the weekend of March 7, 2026.
Of the Golden Hurricane's 12 American opponents, Tulsa will face six teams twice – once at home and once on the road – and take on the remaining six conference foes once in three home games and three away contests.
Tulsa plays home-and-home games against East Carolina, Florida Atlantic, Rice, Tulane, UTSA and Wichita State this upcoming season. TU will also host Memphis, Temple and UAB and travel to Charlotte, North Texas and South Florida for road contests.
For the first time in six years, the American Championship will be held at a different arena: Legacy Arena at the BJCC in Birmingham, Ala.
Head Coach Angie Nelp enters her fifth season at the helm coming off her fourth consecutive winning season at 17+ wins and third postseason appearance in four years.
Mady Cartwright and Jade Clack return to the Golden Hurricane for their junior seasons. Cartwright averaged 10.5 points, 3.6 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.5 steals in 32 starts and finished with double-digit points in each of the final seven games last season, while Clack put together 5.2 points, 3.2 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 17.7 minutes across 30 games played.
Tulsa welcomes 12 newcomers, including five true freshmen and seven talented transfer players, including JUCO standouts Layla-J Cameron and Laura Di Stefano, North Texas guard Shamaryah Duncan, Virginia forward RyLee Grays, Northeastern guard Abby Jegede, Memphis forward Hannah Riddick and Siena guard Teresa Seppala.
The full 2025-26 conference schedule will be released in September.
