
Roller and Neese Compete in US Women’s Amateur Qualifier

MAYETTA, Kan. –– Tulsa women's golfers, Jenni Roller and Hadley Neese competed at the US Women's Amateur Qualifying on Tuesday at Firekeeper Golf Course in Mayetta, Kan.
The Golden Hurricane duo needed to be a top three finisher to qualify for the US Women's Amateur Championship at Bandon Dunes Golf Resort from Aug. 4-10.
Over the course of the 18-hole qualifier Roller competed with the field that featured some of the top amateur players. She opened the qualifier with three birdies on the front nine, but gave two back and was one-under heading to the back nine.
Remaining at one over, she got to par 3 13 and had a double-bogey. She answered back with a birdie on 14 but could not get back to even par. She finished one-over par for the event. She missed a playoff for the second alternate position by one stroke.
Incoming freshman Neese competed and carded two bridies for the day on her front nine as she was six-over par. She finished the event, at nine-over par 81.
