Tulsa Places Five Players on All-AAC Honors by Athlon Sports

TULSA, Okla. – The Tulsa Golden Hurricane football program had five players on the Preseason 2025 American Athletic All-Conference team, according to Athlon Sports.
 
Angus Davies (P) was named to the Second-Team Specialists. Sevion Morrison (RB) and Mekhi Miller (WR) earned spots on the Fourth-Team Offense. Ray Coney (LB) was named to the Fourth-Team Defense. Braylin Presley (All-Purpose/KR) earned recognition as both Fourth-Team Offense and Fourth-Team Specialists.
 
Davies was the leading punter for the Golden Hurricane last season. He recorded 68 punts and averaged 43.6 yards per punt. Davies successfully pinned opponents inside their 20-yard line 17 times. Additionally, he had 17 punts that traveled 50 yards or more, with his longest punt reaching 59 yards.
 
Presley earned honors as an all-purpose player in both offense and kick returns. During his second season at TU last year, he was utilized in various roles on offense and special teams. He recorded nine receptions for 73 yards, along with three rushing attempts for 27 yards and one touchdown. As a kickoff returner, Presley proved to be a significant threat, averaging 52.7 yards per return.
 
Morrison, a transfer from Kansas, has returned to his hometown of Tulsa to complete his playing career. He brings valuable experience to the backfield for the Golden Hurricane, having played in 34 career games and rushed for 507 yards on 90 attempts.
 
Miller has joined the Golden Hurricane after spending his first three seasons at the University of Missouri. During his time with the Tigers, he participated in 36 career games, making five starts. In the 2024 season, he was on the field for 345 snaps, bringing his overall career total at Missouri to 1,005 snaps. Throughout his college career, he recorded 22 receptions for 311 yards and one touchdown.
 
Coney joined the TU program in the spring semester of 2025. During the 2024 season, he played for Coach Lamb at East Tennessee State University. Coney was named a 2023 Phil Steele Freshman All-American and was honored on the 2023 All-SoCon Freshman Team. Last season, he participated in all 12 games as a linebacker and led the Buccaneers' defense with 97 tackles and 12 tackles for loss. He also recorded five sacks, broke up six passes, forced two fumbles, and added one quarterback hurry. His best performance came against Western Carolina, where he achieved a season-high 17 tackles.
