Tulsa Cross Country Teams Open Season at Cowboy Preview

TULSA, Okla. — The University of Tulsa men's and women's cross-country teams will begin the 2025 season at Oklahoma State's Cowboy Preview in Stillwater, Okla., on Friday morning. Joining Tulsa and OSU on the course is Northwestern (W), Oklahoma (M&W) and Redlands Community College (M&W).

A familiar event and early-season test for the Golden Hurricane harriers, TU will compete on the Greiner Family Cross Country Course. The Cowboy Preview starts with the men's 5K race at 8:15 a.m., with the women's 3K immediately following at 8:45 a.m.
The Tulsa men enter the season-opener ranked No. 26 in the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) men's preseason poll released earlier this week. They are the only the second ranked group in The American and stand as the third-best team in the Midwest region behind Oklahoma State and Iowa State.
The Hurricane women are ranked 10th in the Midwest Region to start the year. The seven-time American champion and winners of five of the last six American titles are looking to repeat as conference champions and earn a spot in the NCAA Championship for the first time since 2021.
