Tulsa Falls in Final Midweek at No. 13 OSU

STILLWATER, Okla. — The University of Tulsa fell to No. 13 Oklahoma State, 5–0, at Cowgirl Stadium on Wednesday night. The Golden Hurricane managed just one hit, while the Cowgirls secured the shutout with a strong pitching performance.
Madison Garcia recorded one hit and stole a base, providing a spark in the outfield. Maura Moore pitched 4.0 innings, striking out three while allowing three runs. Brinly Maples delivered a scoreless inning, giving up just one hit in relief.
Tulsa had a chance early, loading the bases in the third on three walks. They couldn't push a run across as Oklahoma State escaped the jam with a pair of ground balls. In the fourth, Oklahoma State's Madison Hoffman hit a three-run homer to deep center field, putting the Golden Hurricane behind 3–0.
In the sixth inning, Oklahoma State extended its lead when Hoffman tripled down the right field line, driving in another run. Jones then singled through the right side, bringing in Hoffman and increasing the lead to 5–0.
Despite Tulsa's efforts, it was unable to change the score in the seventh inning, resulting in a final score of Oklahoma State 5, Golden Hurricane 0.
Tulsa heads to Charlotte for the final series of the regular season.
