Women’s Golf Set to Compete in NCAA Waco Regional

WACO, Texas – The Tulsa Golden Hurricane women's golf team returns to postseason play on Monday as it competes in the NCAA Waco Regional at Ridgewood Country Club. The appearance marks Tulsa's 22nd NCAA Regional berth since the format began in 1993 and the program's fifth in the last six years.
The three-day, 54-hole tournament will be contested May 11-13, with 18 holes played each day on the par-70, 6,094-yard layout at Ridgewood Country Club.
At the conclusion of regional play, the top five teams from each of the six sites will advance to the NCAA Championship in Carlsbad, Calif. Additionally, the top individual not on an advancing team from each regional will earn a spot in the national championship field, bringing the total number of advancing players to 156.
The Golden Hurricane came into the NCAA Waco Regional after winning the American Conference Championship for the second straight season. TU claimed one conference title this season, while earning six top three finishes.
Tulsa had four players, Romaine Masserey, Samantha Olson, Jenni Roller and Allyn Stephens named to the 2026 American Conference All-Conference Team. Head coach Mike Roters being named the league's Coach of the Year for the second straight season.
THE COURSE
Since 1947, Ridgewood Country Club has provided its members and guests with arguably the best golfing experience in Central Texas. The pristine course, designed by native Texan Ralph Plummer, boasts rolling hills, wooded areas with large deciduous trees, and the scenic backdrop of beautiful Lake Waco.
The course will play as a par 70, 6,094 yards over the three rounds of the regional.

Tulsa is one of 12 teams competing at the NCAA Waco Regional. The other schools participating are No. 4 Texas A&M, No. 8 Oregon, No. 16 Tennessee, No. 21 SMU, Baylor, LSU, TCU, Colorado, Northern Arizona, Tarleton State and Prairie View A&M.
NCAA FINAL SITE
The top five teams (30 teams total) and the low individual not on an advancing team (six individuals total) from each regional site will advance to compete in the national championships to be played May 22-27 at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California. Championship play will be hosted by Texas, with the final three days of the championships televised live by the GOLF Channel.

TEE TIMES
Monday's play will begin with tee times starting at 8 a.m. CT. Tulsa's golfers will be paired with TCU and Colorado on Monday morning and go off hole one with tee times starting at 8:50 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.

In its storied golf history, Tulsa has won two regional titles, both in the central region in back-to-back seasons of 2001 and 2002. The Hurricane has captured four national championships including the 1980 AIAW, 1982 AIAW, 1982 NCAA and 1988 NCAA Championships.
