Golden Hurricane Volleyball Receives American Team Academic Excellence Award

IRVING, Texas — The Tulsa volleyball team finished the 2025-26 school year as the top squad in the American Conference both on the courts and in the classrooms, earning a Team Academic Excellence Award for having the best team GPA among all American volleyball programs with a 3.714 GPA.
The American annually recognizes in the team in each conference-sponsored sport with the highest grade-point average from the preceding academic year. Calculations are based on all student-athletes on the team roster as of the last contest of the championship segment.
This is the second time the Golden Hurricane have earned this award after finishing as the league's top academic volleyball program in 2020-21.
