Bio
TULSA: Was a graduate student for two seasons … came to Tulsa prior to the 2019-20 season to work on his master’s degree … a four-time All-American and six-time all-conference selection … was an All-American, all-region and all-conference cross country selection in 2019 and 2020-21, as well as a two-time All-American and all-conference honoree in outdoor track and field, and a two-time all-conference selection in indoor track and field.
2020-21
OUTDOOR: Ran in five meets … claimed an NCAA Championship in the 10,000m run in a personal-best and NCAA Championship record time of 27:41.87 … became Tulsa’s third individual NCAA champion … set a career-best time of 13:19.85 in the 5,000m run at the NCAA Championship for sixth place … earned All-America honors in the 5,000m run and 10,000m run with his performances at the NCAA Championship … was an American Athletic Conference all-conference honoree in the 1,500m run and 5,000m run … claimed gold medals in the 1,500m run (3:41.18) and 5,000m run (13:41.68) at The American Championship … won the 5,000m Invite event at the John McDonnell Invite with a time of 13:28.08 … was named The American Men’s Track and Field Athlete of the Week on April 28.
INDOOR: Did not compete.
CROSS COUNTRY: Raced in all three meets … earned All-America honors for the second-straight year … was named the American Athletic Conference Runner of the Year and was tabbed as an all-conference honoree … recorded a first place finish with a time of 23:28.82 at the American Athletic Conference Championship, helping Tulsa claim the team title and earning the individual champion honor … had a time of 23:58.9 for second place at the OSU Winter Open … finished fifth in a time of 29:59.9 at the NCAA Championship.
2019-20
OUTDOOR: Outdoor season canceled due to COVID-19 pandemic.
INDOOR: Ran in three meets … earned all-conference honors in two events at The American Indoor Track and Field Championships ... registered the sixth-fastest time at TU in the 3,000-meter run, as he earned gold to a time of 8:03.10 … finished third in the 5,000m in 14:15.49 at the conference meet … competed in the 5,000-meter run at the Iowa State Classic and recorded a time of 13:54.39.
CROSS COUNTRY: Ran in five meets … earned All-America status … also earned all-region and all-conference accolades … finished in 11th place at the NCAA Championships … helped lead Tulsa to a fifth-place NCAA Championship performance … led Tulsa to the NCAA Midwest Region title with a third-place finish … placed fifth at the American Athletic Conference Championship in leading Tulsa to the team title … finished in third place at the Rhodes Invitational and 35th at the Nuttycombe Invitational … named to the USTFCCCA Midwest Region All-Academic Team.
