Chisum Lane joined the Tulsa men's basketball program as a graduate assistant beginning with the 2015-16 season.

Lane came to Tulsa after serving as an assistant men’s basketball coach at the University of the Southwest during the 2014-15 season. During that time, he also worked in the school’s Office of Admissions and Recruiting as a recruiting specialist.

Lane graduated from the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma in 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in economics. He served as a men’s basketball team manager at USAO, and served as a basketball camp coach at USAO and at Oklahoma Christian University.

While at USAO, Lane was a member of the cross country team, and served on the USAO Student Activity Board, Volunteer Action Committee, student government, and the President’s Leadership Council.

A native of Hydro, Okla., Lane is pursuing his master’s degree in educational studies.
